Integrity Formulas For Growth, Pregnancy & Lactation

Which Integrity Formula by Life Stage?

Integrity has two formulas for growth and reproduction: Growth and Mare & Foal. These feeds are balanced with the required nutrients to complement the forage portion of the diet. Integrity Rice Bran—both meal and nuggets—can also be added to any Integrity formula to boost the fat content. See the chart below to determine which Integrity formula should be fed and when.

Integrity Growth was formulated not just for the physiological growing phase of young horses but also to promote gut heath as the hindgut’s maturation parallels the horse’s growth.

  • Does not contain alfalfa or the high starch grains corn or barley.
  • Protein quality is very important to growth. Soybean meal is the 2nd ingredient of this balanced formula. It’s the optimum protein and lysine source and supplies the 15% protein in this feed.
  • Modest in fiber (11.5%), beet pulp is the primary fiber source to promote gut health during the hindgut’s maturation process.
  • Contains yeast culture, probiotics, and prebiotics to promote gut health.
  • Provides 8.5% crude fat, with rice bran as the 3rd ingredient.

Integrity Mare & Foal is a quality mare & foal balanced formula in pellet form.

  • The pellet form is easy for foals to chew, while still providing the benefits of a soluble fiber source.
  • Does not contain beet pulp because it can be challenging for creep and weanling fed foals to chew.
  • Does not contain alfalfa or the high starch grains corn or barley.
  • Soy hulls are the soluble fiber source for their attributes in the pelleting process.
  • Protein quality is important during pregnancy and lactation. Soybean meal, the 2nd ingredient, is the primary protein and lysine source.
  • Contains rice bran and canola oil and is modest in fat (6.5%).
  • Higher fat in the mare’s diet will increase milk fat levels.
  • As with all Integrity balance formulas, this feed contains whole ground flaxseed meal – a source of the omega-3 fatty acid alpha linolenic acid. Canola oil also contains alpha linolenic acid.
