Our Company, History & Products

About the Company & Our Philosophy

What is Integrity Horse Feed?

Integrity Horse Feed is a premium brand of horse feed manufactured by Star Milling Co. It is dedicated to providing balanced, high-quality equine nutrition based on scientific research and a commitment to gut health.

Is Integrity Horse Feed a corporate or family-owned business?

We are proud to be a family-owned business since 2006. This independence allows us to focus entirely on equine nutrition and ingredient quality over corporate interests.

Where is Integrity Horse Feed located?

Our mill is located at 24067 Water Street, Perris, CA 92570.

Who formulated Integrity Horse Feed?

The product line was developed in collaboration with our expert consultant, Dr. Robert E. Bray, an acclaimed Equine Nutritionist. A lifelong horseman, professor, and scientist, Dr. Bray brings an impressive blend of academic expertise and real-world barn experience to the brand.

What is the core philosophy behind Integrity Horse Feed?

Our philosophy centers on supporting the “integrity” of the horse’s gut. We believe in providing consistent, balanced, high-fiber, and low-starch diets that keep horses thriving.

What does “fixed formula” mean, and why does Integrity use it?

A fixed formula means the recipe never changes regardless of ingredient costs. While many brands use “least cost” formulations, which involves swapping ingredients based on what is cheapest, we keep our ingredients identical in every single bag to ensure a consistent diet for your horse.

Are there any medications or antibiotics in Integrity Horse Feed?

No. All of our feeds are completely antibiotic-free and ionophore-free to ensure the highest level of safety for your horses.

Our Ingredients & Nutrition

What are the primary ingredients used in Integrity Horse Feed?

Our formulas primarily use high-quality, soluble fiber sources like beet pulp and soybean hulls rather than high-starch grains. A detailed ingredient list for each formula can be found on each individual product page.

Why does Integrity emphasize low-starch and low-sugar formulas?

High starch and sugar diets can cause digestive and metabolic issues in horses. Low-starch formulas are safer for their digestive systems and ideal for horses with feed sensitivities.

Why is beet pulp included in the feed?

Beet pulp provides an excellent source of soluble fiber, which promotes healthy intestinal function and provides safe, cool energy.

What role do soybean hulls play in Integrity feed?

Like beet pulp, soybean hulls are a superb source of digestible fiber that supports a healthy equine hindgut.

Does Integrity feed contain flaxseed?

Yes, flaxseed is integrated into our formulas to provide essential Omega-3 fatty acids, which promote healthy skin and a shiny coat.

Are there prebiotics or probiotics in the feed?

Yes, we include yeast culture and live yeast to support better digestion and maintain optimal intestinal tract health.

What is Mannan Oligosaccharide, and why is it included?

Mannan Oligosaccharide (MOS) is a natural dietary fiber that assists in stabilizing the digestive environment and supporting the immune system.

Do Integrity feeds include antioxidants?

Yes, our feeds are fortified with Selenium and Vitamin E, which are critical antioxidants for protecting healthy cells and supporting muscle recovery.

What types of products does Integrity offer?

We offer a comprehensive lineup including Low Starch Adult/Senior feeds, Low Starch Lite, Growth, Mare & Foal, Performance, Rice Bran products, and Timothy-based feeds. You can see our complete list on our horse feeds page.

Do you have a product specifically for older horses?

Yes, we offer Integrity Adult/Senior, which is designed for the unique digestive needs of aging horses. It is also available in a “without molasses” version for horses needing strictly limited sugar.

What feed do you recommend for easy keepers or miniature horses?

Integrity Lite (or Integrity Lite without Molasses) is a low-starch, low-sugar option perfect for minis, ponies, and easy keepers who need balanced nutrition without extra calories.

Which feed is best for working or performance horses?

Integrity Performance is formulated to support the elevated energy, stamina, and muscle recovery requirements of performance and working horses.

Do you produce a feed that contains no corn, barley, alfalfa or molasses?

Integrity Extruded with Teff is formulated with teff hay, rice bran, beet pulp and soybean hulls to support a low starch, high fiber forage source. It does not contain any corn, barley, alfalfa or molasses.

What do you offer for breeding operations?

We have two targeted products: Integrity Mare & Foal for pregnant/lactating mares, and Integrity Growth to support the steady, safe development of young horses.

What is Integrity Timothy?

Integrity Timothy is a dedicated feed balanced with Timothy alfalfa, specifically designed to support working horses with a high-fiber structure.

What types of Rice Bran products do you make?

We offer Integrity Rice Bran Meal and Integrity Rice Bran Nuggets. Rice bran is a great plant source of fat, fiber, and antioxidants, helping with energy and muscle recovery.

Can I feed Integrity to an insulin-resistant horse?

Yes, our low-starch and molasses-free options (like Integrity Adult/Senior No Molasses or Integrity Lite No Molasses) are specifically formulated to be safe for insulin-resistant or metabolic horses.
